Arrange for transportation ahead of time. A good hostess makes sure that everyone arrives home safely. Get a limousine, hire a car or designate a driver that does not drink alcohol.

Make a list of where the party is going. Choose the bride-to-be's old stomping grounds to bring back a good dose of nostalgia. This also will keep you from spending half the night wandering around aimlessly trying to decide where to go.

Start at a restaurant. Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is a surefire way to get sick and have a nasty hangover the next day. Eat first, drink later.

Let the games begin. No bridal shower is complete without games right? Choose silly, embarrassing games like the one where the bride wears Life Savers pinned to her shirt or a candy necklace that people can bite off--for a fee, of course.

Plan to have the bride-to-be open gifts in the car between stops. Everyone can have a good laugh with her when she opens the risqué gifts. This also ensures that no gift is forgotten and left behind at the bar.
